Answer/Pointer: Robert Frost had written a new poem for John F. Kennedy's Inauguration on Jan. 20, 1961, but was unable to read it in the glare of the bright sunlight and recited only "The Gift Outright." See: Robert Frost: Collected poems, prose, & plays.
