Question/Topic: Dale Mabry Field 
Answer/Pointer: Former airfield covering present day (2000) areas of Appleyard Drive, Tallahassee Community College, the Leon County Jail, etc. It was named for Capt. Dale Mabry, a native of Tallahassee, who served in World War I, only to be killed in 1922 in the crash of the "Roma," a dirigible he was piloting, on Armistice Day (11/11), 1929.
