LEON COUNTY RESIDENTS
The Leon County Solid Waste
Management Facility accepts electronics from
residents at the Recycling Building located at 7550 Apalachee
Parkway, Monday through Saturday 8 AM to 5 PM. If you need
assistance unloading your electronics, help is available Monday thru
Friday only at the Electronics Building. Residents may bring 1 Television
OR 1 Computer System per
trip. Residents may be asked to go over the tipping scales
for more than one electronic. Please ask the scale house staff to
direct you to the Electronics Building. Residents may use the
electronics drop-off bin located at the rural waste center on
Saturday.
Each Rural Waste Service Center
has an electronics drop-off container. Visit the rural waste

hours.

LEON COUNTY BUSINESSES
We
encourage businesses to recycle their electronics as well. You
can bring material to the Recycling Program, located at the Solid
Waste Management Facility, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
NO ELECTRONIC WASTE FROM BUSINESSES ACCEPTED ON SATURDAYS.
Businesses requiring a Certificate of Recycling must make an
appointment to get that certification. Please fill out the following
Appointment form
and fax it to the Recycling Services & Education program at
850-606-1801. Please call 850-606-1823 with any questions.
There will be a tip fee of $75.00
per ton of electronics dropped off. The first 60 pounds are $2.00, charges are pro-rated -
1,000 pounds will be $37.50. This is a small price to pay for
protecting Florida's water quality.
