Providing for the safety, comfort and convenience of the public by creating, maintaining and managing infrastructure and programs supporting transportation, roadside beautification and stormwater maintenance. This is accomplished through cost effective, environmentally sensitive and aesthetically pleasing products and services.

RIGHT OF WAY

• Canopy Roads Management
• Reviewing tree removal requests
• Running and removal of high risk trees and invasive exotic plants
• Roadside Beautification Program including the planting of trees, shrubs, and flowers
• Litter control and roadside mowing
• Responding to public concerns and requests by investigating complaints, and accomplishing needed improvements

• Asphalt repairs
• Private Dirt Road Repair Program
• Maintenance of County maintained dirt roads
• Street sign fabrication, installation, and maintenance of pavement markings
• Data collection for traffic studies

• Providing stabilization of Leon County's dirt road system through methods such as chemical stabilization, and Open-graded Cold Mix asphalt (OGCM)

• Maintaining and retrofitting open and enclosed drainage systems along county rights-of-way and easements
• Providing for water quality and rate control
• Protecting against injury and loss associated with stormwater runoff
• Responding to public concerns and requests by investigating complaints, and accomplishing needed improvements
