Civic Center Authority

Responsibility:
To make a comprehensive, long-range master plan for the overall orderly development of a civic center complex;
To develop detailed plans for specific facilities; Planning, developing, operating and maintaining comprehensive complex of civic, governmental, educational, recreational, convention and entertainment facility.

Appointments:
13 members: Comprised of:

1. Seven (7) members appointed by the President of FSU, one of which will become Chair;
2. Two (2) members appointed by the President of FAMU;
3. Two (2) members appointed by the Mayor of the City ofTallahassee;
4. Two (2) members appointed by the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners


 

Terms:
Staggered 4 year terms.
Terms expire June 30.

Beginning July 1, 2004, three (3) of the initial appointments by FSU President will serve two-year terms; one (1) initial appointment by FAMU President, one (1) initial appointment by the Mayor, and one (1) initial appointment by the County will serve two-year terms.

Number of terms allowed: Not addressed in Bill.
Vacancies filled for remainder of unexpired term by appropriate agency.
