Mission Statement

The Purchasing Division is responsible for the procurement of supplies, equipment and services for all departments under the Board of County Commissioners, and to a limited extent, the Sheriff's Department, the Court Administrator, and the Supervisor of Elections. As a part of the procurement function, the Purchasing Division operates a warehouse facility, an office supply center and a delivery system for the issuance of supplies and materials to user agencies at wholesale prices. Included in the delivery system is the delivery of inter-office and U.S. Mail to all County office locations. In addition, the Purchasing Division is responsible for the tangible personal property control function. This includes creating and maintaining proper control records of all tangible property items, the annual physical inventory, and surplus and sale of items surplus to the County's needs.
