Education plays a primary role in the integrated pest management program used by Leon County Mosquito Control. A major component of mosquito control is habitat or source reduction. This can be achieved by educating students and citizens to empty or discard of any containers holding water in their yards. This is the main focus of the school education program available to all fourth grade classes in both public and private schools in Leon County.
