How do I prevent RealPlayer from starting when I am trying to download a video?
RealPlayer loads on start up because of a shortcut placed in the system tray. This was designed to provide easy access to the Player and to allow automatic updating of Player components and the Channel headlines. If you disable or remove the system tray shortcut, these features will not work and allow you to download the file.

A method for removing RealPlayer from the system tray is to right mouse click on the RealPlayer icon in the corner of the Windows task bar. From the menu that appears, choose Close & Disable. Choose "Yes" when a dialog box warns you that the Player will no longer be resident on the system.

I tried to watch the video files in RealPlayer but it does not seem to work and I get a message that says "net congestion". What is wrong?
Streaming media, such as videos, requires a very fast Internet connection. If you are having problems streaming the media then you can select the download option instead. This will allow you to download the file onto your personal computer and view the media from your own computer. Once the file is saved to your computer just select the file and double click on the file name and the media should start playing.
