You can access NetLibrary and Overdrive anywhere you have Internet access: all library locations, home, work, etc. Both services require your Library card number, so have it handy.

You will need to download the Overdrive Media Console [OMC] to your computer first. This is free and fairly fast. Audio books can be downloaded to your computer and transferred to a digital player. Some can also be burned to a CD - look for the fire symbol. Digital players must employ Windows Media Player version 9.0 and above. OverDrive Video is a high speed Internet-only product and can be downloaded to your computer. Some videos are approved for public performance.

To browse available titles, click on the red Overdrive button and look for "view all eBooks" under "Collections" on the left-hand menu. Have your library card handy, select and add to your cart, and when you proceed to checkout, follow the prompts to install Adobe Digital Editions, required for Overdrive eBooks.

Then, download the eBook, read on your computer screen or transfer to your Sony Reader or Barnes&Noble Nook. Check the help files for compatible devices, detailed directions and information about system requirements and troubleshooting.
