Leon County Celebrates Arbor Day by planting trees at St marks headwaters Park

Citizens and staff of Leon County enjoyed a beautiful day planting trees and helping our environment with an Arbor Day Celebration Tree Planting, hosted by Leon County Public Works on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007.

The planting site was at St. Marks Headwaters Park, helping to restore North Florida's original forest, the long leaf pine ecosystem. County Parks and Recreation provided hay rides from the parking area to the planting site, and the Leon County Tree Bank provided the trees.
