Leon County celebrates National Public Works
Week, May 15 through May 21. The awareness week is aimed at bringing attention to Public Works personnel and the important jobs they perform. To kick off the week, the County is
hosted an equipment exhibit on Friday, May 13, at the North Florida Fairgrounds, Tram Road entrance.
Citizens brought their children to explore the powerful pieces of equipment, and learn more about the services Public Works personnel provide on a daily basis.
Leon County Public Works employees work hard every day to provide critical services to citizens. The Public Works Department is made up of several divisions including: Animal Control, Engineering, Fleet Management, Mosquito Control and Stormwater Maintenance, Operations, Parks & Recreation, Solid Waste, and Transportation. |
