The Leon County Board of County Commissioners and the Woodmen of the World will held a flag dedication at the Miccosukee Community Park on Tuesday, Sept. 11.

Woodmen of the World, a national service organization, generously donated new flags and poles to three Leon County Parks & Recreation locations, including Miccosukee Community Park, J. Lewis Hall Sr. Park, and the soon-to-be completed Woodville Community Center. The flags are part of the organization’s “In Honor And Remembrance Projects,” with ceremonies held throughout the country to pay tribute to the heroes and victims of Sept. 11, 2001.
