Military Photo Display - Honoring Leon County’s Men and Women in
Uniform - The War on Terrorism

The Leon County Office of Veteran Services invites military
personnel, their families and friends to submit photographs for a display of local men and women serving on active duty, or who have served on
active duty since September 11, 2001. The display of individual photographs are now located at
the LeRoy Collins Leon County Main Library, 200 West Park Avenue.
The display honors the service of
Leon County’s men and women in uniform and will remain until the end of hostilities.
The
photographs will are also displayed here on the Leon County website.
Visitors can Search by last name or View Photo
Album.
Current or former residents of Leon County who have served on active
duty in any branch of the military since September 11, 2001 are eligible. This includes
active duty, reserve and National Guard personnel who served or still serve on
active duty.
 Instructions:
Any type of photograph may be submitted, from studio
portraits to snapshots in sizes up to 5” x 7”, in color or black and white.
Submitted photos that are too large or too small can be scanned to adjust the
size and image. Each submission should be labeled with the name, rank, and
branch of service. Please mail photos and label information to: Military

The exhibit is a collaboration of the Leon County Veteran
Services Division, Downtown Improvement Authority, and Commissioner Bob Rackleff, a retired naval officer.
